Behind the Scenes, Making a Real Difference

Jim Hopwood, Executive Director

Jim Hopwood is a 1972 graduate of Prosser High School and a 1976 graduate of Eastern Washington University. He and his wife, Lynn, have been married over 40 years, with three grown children and five grandchildren.

After spending twelve years in Minnesota, he and his family returned to Prosser, where he owned and operated his own construction company until 2009, when they were asked to start a local church. Over the past 10 years, the church grew steadily in both its fellowship and its reputation throughout the Lower Yakima Valley.

As 2018 came to a close, Jim and Lynn sensed that it was time for another chapter in their lives. In January 2019, Jim became the Executive Director of Jubilee Ministry, where he is able to continue serving the people of Prosser. Jim is excited to have this opportunity and is looking forward to helping Jubilee become a vital part of our community.

When asked what the next chapter in their lives might be, Jim laughed and replied, "I don't know, maybe the Senior Center?"

Our Volunteers

Non-profit organizations like ours depend on the generous donations of time given by our staff and volunteers. These individuals work tirelessly to organize our inventory; keep a clean, organized, and tidy thrift store; and serve community members at our food bank. We thank each and every one of them for their continued support of this important organization!
